Happy holidays. I’m in edits for a year-end piece about a musical icon we lost this year, and prepping to speak with a recording artist at the forefront of Los Angeles’ vibrant music scene. I’m planning a little breakfast for Christmas Day, and as yet I’ve done absolutely no shopping for my family. So, of course: let’s talk about how handwriting deepens my writing and may bring something new to yours.

I write things down.

For interviews, I still write down my questions and/or conversation prompts. I take a lot of notes. I type things down too, in my phone. All of this depends on the creative situation. I’m going talk today about how I maneuver when trying to capture moments and mood. I going to talk about why writing things down in the moment makes everything better .
