I don’t really shut down my work at this time of year.

I have family and friend gatherings to either host or attend. I often enjoy flying off to someplace hot and steaming with sun-showers. And as a person who has New Year New Me meetings with myself once a month, I don’t have to squueze it in between the Christmas and the first of the year.

I love the cinnamon and pine scents, the sparkle of lights, and the Christmas markets selling vintage, upcycled and handmade home goods. Pass me that pale yellow alarm clock from the 1960s, please — with its firehouse ring and energetic second-hand, it reminds me of my great-grandfather. And yes I do want my nickname manually stamped, right before my eyes on a stainless-steel bracelet. I also want tacos de cabe…
